With a Tesco Credit Card you can shop online with confidence.
They guarantee to cover you against fraudulent transactions
carried out without your consent when you use your card
at Tesco.com or anywhere on the Internet.
The Tesco Credit Card also offers free Purchase Protection.
The Insurance covers certain items worth £25 or
more if they are lost, stolen or accidentally damaged
- provided they are not already insured - for up to 50
days after you have purchased them with your Tesco Credit
Card.
If you pay for a trip with your Tesco Credit Card, you'll
automatically receive free travel accident insurance.
This covers accidental bodily injury or death when travelling,
up to a maximum of £50,000 or £250,000 with
their PlatinumCard for any one person. This does not however
replace your travel insurance.
If your TescoCreditCard or any other cards are lost or
stolen our their Protection plan will protect you or your
partner against misuse and ensure all your creditcards
are replaced as soon as possible. Protection costs only
£16 a year and you can try it free for 90 days.
To apply, simply complete the Card Protection section
of the application.
If you ever worry about how you'd keep up with your repayments
should you become sick or lose your job, their Cardholder
Payment Protection will ease your mind. With it they take
care of your minimum monthly repayments for up to 12 months
if illness or unemployment means you can't.
The cost is just 70p for every £100 of your outstanding
balance. So, if your outstanding balance is £300
you'll pay £2.10. But, if you have no outstanding
balance, there's no charge at all, which means you're
only paying for the protection you need. To apply, simply
complete the Cardholder Payment Protection section of
the application. If you change your mind you can cancel
it within 30 days and it won't cost you a penny.
Transferring to their creditcard is quick and easy; just
complete the Balance Transfer section on your application
form. They then make your Balance Transfers in the order
you list them, up to the creditlimit they set you. Before
you receive your creditcard, they write to confirm the
balances to be transferred, which will appear on your
first statement. Remember that until you receive confirmation,
you may need to make a payment to your other accounts
to keep them current.
